I felt these when we first met,
Such a feeling that I’ll never forget,
Our eyes met & we stared,
Sexual tension was also present there.
I wondered if you would be a 1 night stand,
As we kissed & you held onto my hand,
But I’m glad that our love grew,
Into something that still feels brand new.
When I saw you my belly flip flopped,
My hair stood on end & my heart stopped,
You made me shiver with your look,
In your rut I wanted to be stuck.
After 6 months we gave it a go,
Taking things day by day & very slow,
Our relationship had solid foundations,
As strong & sturdy as a nation.
To this day the feelings are as strong,
They will go on as the day is long,
Mark, you still give me butterflies,
That lift me way into the skies.
