The night McGuire died
was the night I took his bride
where we went a high step dancing
up at Paddy's Harborside.
The pipes you heard askirl
with McGuire's bride atwirl
and the leprchauns alaughing
When I kissed McGuire's girl.
Now, the mead flowed a river
and I felt the bride ashiver
and she drank it all straight down
Just as much as I would give her.
Then I asked, "Please be mine"
and she said, "That'll be fine"
and the people stayed that evening
For to see our vows entwine.
Let's see what you have learned,
If for damsel you have yearned,
Ask her the hot key question
or forever you'll be burned.+

A merry widow was she,
but not for long I see
The question you asked
of this bonny young lass
with her husband not yet
in the ground

Why I just think that was terrible of you and she. The poor devil wasn't even cold yet under that tree! And there you were dancing and carrying on so......I'll bet he turned over in his grave......and will come to haunt you!!!
Funny little ditty.......but I liked it very much!
