A New Kind of Man

Contributed by poet_of_anger on Wednesday, 30th June 2004 @ 11:22:04 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I am a new kind of man
Can you not understand
All that was can no longer be
What once was enslaved now must be free
Once there was a troubled boy
He lived his life void of joy
When he died no one cared
No one saw that he was there

Everything I attempt to say
Is taken some different way
So these words mean nothing
You can not tell what I am thinking
Once there was a little girl
Her chore was to draw water from the well
Never once did it cross her parents mind
She fell in hit her head and now she's blind

I am a new kind of man
Can you not understand
All that was can no longer be
What once was enslaved now must be free
Once there was a troubled boy
He met a girl who loved the boy
But she fell and lost her sight
He fell and lost his life

I am a new kind of man
Can you not understand
All that was can no longer be
What once was enslaved now must be free
Everything I attempt to say
Is taken some different way
So these words mean nothing
You can not tell what I am thinking

Once there was a troubled boy
He lived his life void of joy
When he died no one cared
No one saw that he was there
Once there was a little girl
Her chore was to draw water from the well
Never once did it cross her parents mind
SHe fell in hit her head and now she's blind
Once there was a troubled boy
He met a girl who loved the boy
But she fell and lost her sight
He fell and lost his life

Is life becoming so repetitive that no one understands you because they are blind to what you are saying? This is very expressive in thought and emotion. It's a shame it's your last post. A new man you've become, move on, journey long...and prosper.
Angel always...godspeed...joni

Great song! I read these lyrics while listening to Slipknot's Me Inside, and your lyrics would go great with a tune like the one in Me Inside. 4/5
