Ignore the lost, the frightened
The statue is so Delicate!
Beautiful to behold,
Fragile to the touch.
Stunning. Beautiful. Intricate.
When spinning wheels of mundane cars
Rise above to fly afar,
The past is lost,
The Future bold
For that loveless statue
so rare to behold.
Protected by glass and presented with stature,
The statue pretends the glass will not shatter.
For crystalline eyes and ivory skin
Protects not the Angel, but Devil within.
Locked inside a gilded cage,
Unharmed by your own lies,
Sheltered from your own sad Sins,
You Hide, Pretend, Defy.
A real look around,
Can tear your whole life down.
A glance at yourself is clearer,
And could only shatter;
Self's Mirror
