Don't Leave

The day had come and I ran outside to meet her at the road.
There she was, tears filling up her cheeks.
I wanted to say " Don't leave!" but I knew I had to be strong. Instead I said "When you go, make sure thsat you remember me, never forget the day we met, be strong, be good, and maybe God will make sure that we see each other again." It ended in a kiss, I felt terrible inside, my heart breaking. We said goodbye and she got into the car.
"Don't leave!" I finally creid,
Tears were drowning me inside.
But it was to late she was now gone.
Gone forever.
Someday somemtime that's far away, God will let us meet.
Or never again will I see the light that gives me joy, that light that is her.
