and Iied to life most of the time,
when I told it that I was happy.
But two years of happiness that life
cannot cheap me out of.
Two happy years with the love of my
of my dreams!
Loved her when I was young,
but she flew away.
Many years later when I was old,
like the treasure of gold did she appear
again for me.
One glorious year of happy contentment.
But I was from the wrong side of the
tracks, for her.
Couldn't measure up to her friend's
expectations.
I walk around looking alive,
but I am dead.
Come to me, come to me that call
from the Divine.
I know that there is happiness where You
live.
May I live with you. May I.
I promise not to be a bother.
I'll be out of Your way. You'll see.
You'll see...
