I walk the rim of the abyss every day,
yet I am never afraid
for somewhere in the darkness,
lies a tiny piece of eternal fire.
With eternal fire, no darkness is total
no despair is final,
one is the way to the other
just as the sun is born from the night,
and as happiness is born from sadness
so one path leads to another,
and the abyss holds no fears.
From the deepest hole,
you can still see the stars!

There is an eternal flame in each of us. We can choose to make it burn brightly or let it die down. The decisions we make in our lives are the genesis or death of our flames.
