What's The Deal???
You say we're treated the same,
That we have the same size slice.
We are both repremanded for our wrong doings.
But take a few moments and bare with me,
Take a look at the whole picture,
From the depth of my own shoes,
And you will clearly see.
We are treated like opposites,
She is the princess and I the joker,
Appointed to make the princess laugh,
And if she isn't laughing all fingers point to me.
I know what your going to say,
It's the same now,
As it has been a thousand times before.
You always do this,
You just don't know when to stop,
Why do you always have to do this?
But mother,
The only thing that isn't going on here is this,
You let her walk all over me,
As if I'm made of steel.
But I'm not as strong as you think,
Beneath this tattered armour,
Is a thin layer of glass,
Covered with cracks just waiting to statter.
So what's the deal?
Is it really that hard to see,
That I could have feelings,
Yes someone as strong willed as me?

I like this one. It's very emotionally brittle, (that word just came to me) due to the emotional state you described. I can relate to angst with siblings. They can become most infuriating at times.
Bear with them though - they come in handy when times go bad . . . |
