THEY he’s a hero
WE say he’s a fraud
We say he’s a devil
They think he’s a god
What is he REALLY?
Inept, wise or mean?
Perhaps he is none of these
Just something in between
They say he has guts
We say he’s a liar
They say he’s right
We say he is dire
Where is the truth?
History will show
Those biased see it skewed
They can hardly know
But we all have a viewpoint
That much is true
And we give our verdict
We always do
Not only on the man
But on what his policies mean
What effects they have
On our world scene
Does he take the world with him?
Or left far behind?
Does he have foresight?
Or is he truly blind?
Is he fair
In all he says and does?
Upholding the law
Or disrupting all that was?
Is his judgement good?
Or is it prejudiced and slight?
Is he truly just?
Or oblivious to what’s right?
Does he carry all
With him where he goes?
Or does he divide
Making enemies and foes?
Since he came to power
Are we happier still?
Or has he upset us
And brought us only ill?
Are his people sound?
Trustworthy and wise?
Or have they lost trust
And made the world despise?
All these questions
Should run through your mind
As you look at Bush now
What we see is what we find
THEY he’s a hero
WE say he’s a fraud
We say he’s a devil
They think he’s a god
What is he REALLY?
Inept, wise or mean?
Perhaps he is none of these
Just something in between
