Angelheart Child

Contributed by Butterat_Zool on Monday, 28th June 2004 @ 10:05:25 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

SSomething stirr’d my s-o-u-l
Some thing stirrd me heart
Somet’ing kissed my blissful eye a&d
Something broke (u/a)p( )art

I’m not afraid of deathhhh
A sliver in the heel
som,ething like an angel
retahded in a co-coon

The highs, the lows,
the we(a/e)ken(e)d loads,
the joy in the child-spectre’s
dying eye-heart-soul over a nothing

The chill’ling music,
“T’row da bass guitah!”
and the dives he(e/a)dlong
into da awful crowds.

You do your lessons and they lessen
,just like Alice was told,
and eventually there are none more
and your (baptism/second birth) brings you out into the world of ****** rules.

Cahved in stone and unmended even by the strengff of logic,
I stare at the stupid-head mirror and let my unaborted inner child
illUmiNATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THERE! TAKE THAT!!!!!!
NOW YOU (*GASP*) MAKE SENSE!?!!

What have i done? All those innocen(ts/ce) lost…
The world can’t function without deft, I mean, theft.
Take that and cry! Take kindly. The darkness culls.
The brilliance culls. The blindness c(u/a)lls.

Oookay I won't even pretend to understand this one but it's fascinating to read and *try* to decipher the meanings in your words. And I'm not just liking it because it's "different" and because you've come up with an original way of packing one phrase with more than one meaning - this really is a fascinating, if somewhat bizarre (but what more can I expect of you?), piece.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
