Get off my heart

Contributed by norticus on Tuesday, 22nd October 2002 @ 10:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

You can have my life but you can't have my heart.

You can take my money, my food and my car.
You can block my moon and the view of the stars.
You can take my sex whenever you need.
You can take your anger out all over me.
You can have everything... except for one part.

You can have my life but you can't have my heart.

You are welcome to know every detail about me.
You can try to mold me to the form you want to see.
For you I'll even move to another city.
You can treat me like dirt when you think I am dumb.
You can leave me unsatisfied after you've come.
You can keep being like you've been from the start.

I really don't care because you can't have my heart.

I've been here before so I know how this goes.
All my sweet allies are now my fierce foes.
So now I'm playing you right; straight from the start.

You can have my life, but you can't have my heart.

jz
