Grief

Gently Now…
Softly now let me go, you don’t
love me anymore, our bond is
loosening you keep me close
out of empathy, want me to be
your brother a shoulder to cry on
telling him about your sorrow.
Or an older man who tells stories
when you are lonely and afraid,
but you love me not I can see
that in your eyes. So gently let
me go and cry no more.
