My Hearts Execution

Contributed by Dragons_Of_Rose on Tuesday, 22nd October 2002 @ 08:15:00 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

My hands tightly grasping tufts of pillowed cotton,
Soaking up the last remaining moments of my day
My eyes watching the steady green beat of Charlie's cell blinking,
Composing within my heart the last words I'd wish to say

My trembling fingers softly pressing dimly lighted buttons,
Your number a constant rhythm of music within my dreams
My heart bursting with overwhelming anticipation,
Beating to the ringing vibration of monotone waving schemes.

My ears hollowed echo catching the arrival of your presence,
Your voice softly seeping into the shadowed depths of my mind
With little time left I quickly gathered my silent spoken composure,
Reopening a crippled door I've kept my most darkened feelings behind.

"It's been years since we had last admittingly spoken,
Since I was able to relive the sadness captured within your face,
It's been miles since our worlds were left broken,
Since I was able to accept where your heart had been replaced.

It's been months since my dreams were sorrowed by you,
Since I was able to close my eyes and freely breathe,
It's been lonely within my hearts tattered view,
Since, long shattered nights have destined me to grieve."

With the monotonous squeal of an operators deadly song,
I freeze within the final moments our two souls had grasped
My time now breached from the hands of a father harsh,
The voice of my souls dying spirit mournfully moans and laughs.

I've been sentenced on the clocks deathening tick of the hour,
To watch the emotions of my being forcefully bleed its contribution
I, unwillingly giving my souls last will to conqueringly tower
While painfully you'll go on unknowing of my hearts tearful execution.

This was painfully wretching. I wish you well, in your heart to mend, within your soul.
very nicely written, and very sad too.

I could say the old cliche that everything was going to be ok... But I know that this kind of pain is the toughest to heal. This was an excellent write Miss Dragon Rose... and hopefully with each word that is placed on paper (or computer screen) your heart, instead of being executed, will heal. *mental hug*
