Making a Memory
June 27, 2004
Wishing I could go back,
To how it used to be,
Never got me anywhere,
And it took me awhile to see.
Knowing I am stuck in time,
Living the moment that is here,
Is not quite as scary,
As it had appeared.
My message to the future,
Is short, strong, and true.
But nothing like the message,
I'm leaving here for you.
The way we are today,
Is not a place that we should stay.
Let your past lie still, my friends,
And simmer to a tale.
For longer times left untouched,
Hardly leave a trail.
This future we have yet to live,
May bring the best, may bring the worst,
That we have yet to see,
But what you're doing right now,
Is making a memory.

We can't walk on the same piece of water twice. A lovely poem. Great work. |
