I sit and read your poetry,
All the wonderful loving words you wrote for me.
My heart swells my eyes have tears of joy;
I know these words are from your heart, and how you love me so.
Your love my darling takes my breath away.
I just want to hold you close and tight
And I thank God for you every night.
We sat and talked today for hours as we always do,
We smiled, laughed shared memories even split our sides in two!
We open up our hearts, the bad times, and the good.
We share our hopes dreams, and all the things that could.
How incredible it is to share my life with you,
My dream will come true the day I say, “I do”.
Against you, my love no one holds alight,
You are the only one I want, to hold me through the night,
To share my life and my love, to tell me things will be alright.
You’re sensitive, caring wonderful and special in every way.
My beloved with you I want to stay.
