Unchain My Heart

Contributed by MoonlitAngel on Tuesday, 16th July 2002 @ 09:54:29 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

You used to love me enough
That I couldn't help falling for you
Once, you used to care enough
That you would never have hurt me
And you were mine although I couldn't be with you
I hid my heart behind lock and key
Behind all these chains I was just waiting for you
It's crazy what love can make you do

But now I see that you don't know
What love really is and what it means
Or you would treat me better
You've got some growing up to do
You call me immature but you're the one who is
Because you can't deal with emotions
And I'm sick of putting my heart on hold for you
It's not okay to hurt me this way

I know I'll keep loving you
But I need to turn the key once more
Set my heart free of these chains
There's no use in waiting no more
So when you learn how to really love somebody
I hope that I'll still be here for you
For now, I'm moving on, but you'll be in my heart
I'll be dancing underneath the stars

Dee, this is a great poem, I love it... But not the subject that is... lol ... We all know hes bein an ass, he always is, and this hot and cold treatment doesnt help.... SO TURN THE KEY!!! Let go of him! I swear, hes not healthy for you, hes keeping you mature.... Not good! :) Be my lil' immature dragonfly!! And fly away! Exactly that! Well, like I said, great poem.
Love always,
Em
