That's What I Fear

Contributed by pixie on Saturday, 26th June 2004 @ 12:29:15 PM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

Sitting here feeling all alone,
With no meat left on my bones,
Feeling like I’ve been stripped bare,
All I want is for someone to care.

Care that I feel so shell like & empty,
I don’t want you to hate & resent me,
My heart needs sheltering from the cold,
As my tears & hurt slowly unfold.

I feel alone when I’m in a crowd,
Pain speaks volumes; I don’t make a sound,
You have enough to deal with yourself,
So I stick my worries upon a shelf.

I have to stay strong for you,
I’d rather it was me feeling blue,
Than you who was feeling the strain,
I will stop you from going through pain.

You need all the support you can get,
I push it to the side & try to forget,
The things that hurt me so deep,
Trying to hide what makes me weep.

For you I’m trying my very best,
But in the process feeling quite stressed,
I want all your worries to disappear,
I won’t always be strong for you, that’s what I fear.

The most important thing is that you stand solidly beside him. You may not be able to fix it, but you can help him shoulder it by just being there. You can do it through the strength of love.

Your love will see you thru this, Pixie.... just let him know you are there for him...and mean it... and all will be well...

The good thing about being a couple is that you share the burden. Don't worry, you'll do fine. This poem expressed alot. Good one. Peace to you.
