A piece of me that chipped away,
a phone call was all it took.
How did I miss it?
How did the signs that you
were already gone pass by.
I paid no attention,
and now I miss you so bad.
You promised you would
try and see thru;
get thru.
Now all I've got to remind me of you
is this cold tear, and a silver cross.
How did everything seem ok?
Hiding the pain so well.
I blame my ignorance,
I didn't want it like this.
You were only 17.
And now
I miss you so bad.
