THE NORTH
Winter has once again returned to the north
The lakes have become a solid sheet of frozen ice
Cold bitter winds blow
Snow covers the lake in a blanket white
As thousand of twinkling stars scatter the distance sky
The northern lights dance so gracefully
Than as quick as they appeared
They disappear into the darkness of the night
Icicles hang from the cabin roofs
Painted snow flakes upon the window pane
Each one so perfect and unique in every way
The beauty of this land is
Truly a piece of art
Painted by the hand of Master him self

The borders of Canada are beautiful, but I have always wanted to go to the interior and see the vastness of it. Maybe one day I will get to travel again and get to visit it. I do have friends in Saskatchewan that I hope someday to visit. I would love the weather. It is in the upper 90's here in North Texas and very miserable. Our hot weather is still to come later in the summer.
Hugs,
Rita |

This is a very good poem. Your use of inferance to draw to God as the creator is very inspiring. |
