Will You Wait For Me?

Contributed by Laurel126 on Friday, 25th June 2004 @ 12:41:06 PM in AEST
Topic: Grief

She didnt deserve to die.
but now she's lookin out for me from the sky
she had so much going for her
i wish i could undo the things that were

she gave to others and didnt expect anything back
now she lies under the ground with nothing but her name on a little plaque

she was my best friend
and thats the way it will be until my end
she was the sweetest person you could ever meet
she smiled at strangers she didnt even know on the street

she helped my dreams meet ends
she was always trying to transcend
she wanted more of life
and the night she died she looked right into my eyes and said:

laurel dont u shed one tear
you're stronger than that
i know because you're standing right here

never forget who you are
i'll wish for you if i ever see a shooting star

as i stood and held her hand
she took one last breath and said goodbye
and that was the end

i felt her hand go weak
i started to weap

i asked god "why"?
as thousands of tears left my eyes
im going to keep my word
im never going to forget her
not a chance in the world

So sad, but it is so beautiful. It's hard losing someone you love, but there is always a reason for everything. There is an elaborate plan for each event that has happened. It's normal for people to feel like this, I am experiencing the same feeling lately since my sister died. I am here if you ever want to talk, or anything. Beautiful poem though....I am printing it out (that's what I do with my favorites). Keep up the good work, hun. Take care!

Blessings
Love, Jenna
