Topic: InspirationalPoems

"What does it mean to live? "

To get out of bed every morning
And realize the great white light
intruding upon sleep
Is just the sun

"What does it mean to live?"

"To plan, to fail, to succeed
To know what to let go of
On the long journey of life
But to always keep a dream"

"What does it mean to live?"

"To smile when things are down
And laugh while the world’s on your shoulders
Because you want to."

"What does it mean to live?"

"To love and lose and love again
To burn and heal to burn
To pain the heart in bitter ends
But never, never learn"

"What does it mean, to live?"

"To sleep each night,
Calmly,
Knowing you have tomorrow."

Of course, people with less of a mind than you, I believe, may find your introductory self-deprecation annoying, or even insulting.

Give yourself some credit . . . Or are you leaving all that to your commentators?

*sigh* I don't know . . .

JJ. Dear. Call your poetry crappy again and *smiles angelically* I'll show some of your work to a publisher, just like I've always threatened =D.

Seriously . . . maybe not as good as Addicted to the lies (but then, how many poems are?) but definitely good. So you hush.

"To love and lose and love again
To burn and heal to burn
To pain the heart in bitter ends
But never, never learn"

. . . I love that part. Just, wow.
