sitting all alone in the middle of the forest
many years old and not taken care of
doors falling off the hinges, broken windows
gutters ripped from the building, shingles falling
broken furniture thrown about the insides
to most eyes its a hazard, building to be destroyed
for one girl its a shelter, place to escape to
a lonely unloved child seeks refuge there
runs away from her drunk abusive father
sleeps all alone on the cold broken floorboards
warmed with a torn and faded blanket
hiddden from danger by the cracked walls
lonely house is a perfect home for a lonely girl
