Life is what you make it

Contributed by Kie-Kie on Thursday, 24th June 2004 @ 04:59:25 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Blue is blue
Red is red
Living is living
While dead is dead

Living this life
Seems so plain
No time to smell flowers
Or play in the rain

Forced to grow up
Quicker than most
Childhood now
An unfamiliar ghost

Back when they were dying
Bodies in plain sight
Back when the black plague claimed all
They had time to get it right

Life is meant for living
They knew it one and all
Make time to smell the roses
Go have yourself a ball

I love this! This is so true...most kids are forced to grow up...they should be able to have fun as they're kids, and we should make time for fun also!

please comment on my work also

Maybe I was one of the lucky ones Kie.
Now children today seem to be growing up to fast never enough time to play outside Always on the computer or the play station or mobile games.
My childhood was the best time of my life.
I remember the streams the woods the swings the joy of friends.
The bikes the camping the walks in the fields.
The jumping from houses being built on to a mound of sand below (that was ace) lol.
The swimming in the lake the fountain stream the cobbled bridges.
And many many games.
Wont say what they are might give my age away.

Fantastic write Kie thank you for that trip down memory lane.
You have given me a huge smile and happy thoughts

Cheers

Love Sweetangelukxxxx
