As I lay There

Suicide

As I quietly lay there,
All my mum did was sit & stare,
At the life of her daughter slipping away,
It must still haunt her to this very day.
As my veins sunk & collapsed,
She wondered would she lose me perhaps,
Was this really the end of her daughter,
Had her head gone below the water.
Things were looking very grim,
My chance of pulling through were slim,
She prayed that I would be alright,
And make it through that fateful night.
I lay with a drip stuck in my arm,
Mum wondering if I’d done serious harm,
As I came round I saw her tear stained face,
A memory that I’ll never be able to erase.
I’m sorry mum that I tried to die,
Forcing my body to breath it’s last sigh,
Putting you through all that pain,
It’s something you’ll never see again.
How could I have been so selfish?
Making death my only wish,
While my mum sat there and cried,
Thinking her only daughter had died.

We all cause our parents grief when we are in the growing up process. That is what children do in trying to reach adulthood. Mistakes are made and forgiven. You must forgive yourself because I am sure your Mum did. You did learn valuable lessons from that experience and that alone probably stopped a lot of more pain from being dealt. Forgive yourself, Pixie. You are a good viable human being with a lot of love and talent. We need more like you in this world.
Love,
Rita |

Young people so often times think that death is the answer to the pain of their life. If they could only look down the road and see that things do get better. I'm sure that you can see that now and are glad that you survived. Very sad but powerful write...Mike |

I know exactly why people attempt suicide but I wont lecture you on it.
I love your writing style. Its almost similar to my own.

Hey sweets,
Thank you for giving me a chance to read this. I know somethings are hard and sometimes you'd rather not say. But this came out as a beautiful dedication to the pain you at first didn't think about.
You give us your life, in which I enjoy to read. I thank you for your words, they help me see and think where I once wouldn't of. I pray you are safe and warm.
I haven't made it to the poems after this yet, but I saw the capture saying you hope you are strong enough for Marks pain.
Well, you better believe you are. You didn't stay around this long to give up on what you want and need. Now did ya?
You know it's not how strong you think you are. It's the time given to the way.
I know somethings are hard. But that is why you feel happy with mark isn't it? He helps you be alittle more unafraid.
Well, the choice is yours.
And he really doesn't need your strength, he can do it on his own.
What he needs from you is someone to talk to and hold.
You don't need to be strong, you need endurance, and baby I find more than just those characters in you.
Sorry for so much talk about that. I have a thunderstorm outside. So I'm outty.
God bless you, Take care of both of ya.
And one last thing, this was a heart felt work of pages in the book. |
