December

Contributed by Doriens_Picture on Thursday, 24th June 2004 @ 12:28:50 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Cold December alone again
No gifts no family no friends
Spend this year just like the last
Never been able to make sense of my past
Don’t have to wait till Christmas
To feel like wanting to die
Just go to church and ask why
On the way, back passing by the shelter
Seeing the people happy to have a warm meal
It looks like something great to feel
Passing the houses peering through windows at the families inside
Families putting up Christmas trees and dads giving kids piggyback rides
Can’t help to wonder what that feels like
Cold December alone again
No gifts no family no friends
It has never been a bother to try to pretend
Going further into the night
Starting to feel sick, can anything go right?
The coats on the backs of the pour don’t keep the cold away
The snow makes everyone feel just like a stray
The bridge is fenced up and no boxes to sleep in
As if things can’t get worse the a snow storm begins
Where to go now is just not easy to sell
The bars of a cell or a trash bin hotel
Not mush of a difference but that’s all there is
Found out the hard way the streets no where to live
