If Life Were Only That Simple...

Contributed by MusicGurl3291 on Wednesday, 23rd June 2004 @ 12:26:49 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Why don’t you just buy the car,
To get the money, wish upon a star.
Just tell him that your love is true,
And within' a blink, he'll be with you.

Just say your sorry, for committing the crime,
To get out of jail, Its just a dime.
Ask god for a perfect life,
If you do it will come tonight.

Just wish for the pain you feel,
To go away, and not be real.
Hope that you pass the tests,
Of life’s lessons, which are the best.

Learn the difference from real and not,
That life isn’t a perfect, round dot.

At night the stars would always twinkle,
A silky shirt would never wrinkle.

In a flash, you'd take that sample,
If life were only that simple...

I don't know... you wouldn't have to work for anything... I think we'd all become super bored before long, but it was a good idea...

You know every poet is a brooding soul and who wants to give that up? What would we write? what would become of YPDC? I shudder at the thought!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
