The Jesters Prayer

The Jesters Prayer

Dear precious heavenly father i come before you tonight
to ask questions i want answered, and answered right
you say your a jealous god but jealousy is a sin
you say your vengeful and spiteful and those are sins yet again
i know im not supposed to question you or my soul will be lost
but your own son questioned you while he was up on the cross

"Father! why has thou forsaken me!?!"

i dont blame you for all the suffering in the land
suffering breathes compassion, and its the works of the devils hand
i dont understand why people kill in your name
you think you wouldnt allow this or at least pass the blame
its not that i dont believe in you,i do to and i love you
maybe we dont see eye to eye or maybe the bibles full of lies,it doesnt make you untrue

you say the Devils to blame for the sins and evil he brings
but father....you cant blame me for everything

theres a day were born
theres a day we die
but in between were just killing time
lifes a joke,
deaths the punch line
