Coming To Grips With You

Contributed by TheLastStringCut on Wednesday, 23rd June 2004 @ 04:28:56 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

If I could only understand
Why I've been dealt this hand
I think I would throw it back in the face
Of the Almighty, call him a disgrace
A poor diety
If I could only comprehend
Why things have been preset for me
Why I've been given something as sh*tty
As this life, to live in total solitude
Alone with me
If I could only come to terms
With the way I've been burned
When I was handed my future
I would not stand to play it out
I'd end it gladly
If I could only understand these things
Then I wouldn'tve stood aghast
When my mouth fell open when you walked past
I thought that I was hated
Been dealt a bad hand, maybe I was fated
To deal with this life, or end it
But when I layed my eyes on you
I finally understood, I knew
I was sent here to find you.

i didnt think it was gonna be a suicide but i was confused at first.. its so sweet though jeff just like you.. you are honestly the sweetest person ive ever met... even though mike and anni caused us so much pain.. we have to thank them.. cuz without them we wouldnt be together now.. i love you SO much jeff and you mean everything to me.. dont ever forget that.. i never wanna loose you and your love cuz id be so lost.. before i would search for a way to be happy.. thats why i drank and smoked weed all the time..then i found you and i dont need that in my life to make me happy.. you make me so much happier than any of that ever did... Good poem. Interesting spin.
It's a good thing that you found someone
that gives your life meaning.
