Blame

Contributed by Sordida on Tuesday, 22nd June 2004 @ 09:48:28 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Do not blame yourself
I’ve always been the one
Who’s lived this sad creation
And tried to make it fun
I’ve always been depressed
And I’m guessing you know why
But it’s never been your fault
That I felt I want to die
I’ll vouch that way until the end
And my skies all turn to black
If I die from cancer
Or the knife that’s in my back
It’s my secret illness
That has to run its course
I’ll swear that nothings wrong with me
And I’ll fight it with great force
I’ve survived every time so far
And every time to come
And even if I don’t
It’s my fault for being dumb

why do they always blame themselves? it makes it that much more obnoxious. and, it makes me feel so much worse when they put it on their shoulders, then I get angry...
hehe, sorry, that was a random rant. but I totally feel ya. I go through those stages, and it would just help if we were able to deal on our own, let us deal.
I love the thematics and the schematics of this poem. it was actually really well written on top of the awesome expression of emotion.
anyways, I really enjoyed it. :0)
