I am the Voice

Contributed by evilfairy on Tuesday, 22nd June 2004 @ 08:21:49 PM in AEST
Topic: ambiguous

I am the sigh on the woman’s lips
See my shadow upon the moon’s eclipse
I am the smile in the face of a child
I am the hunted and the stalker in the wild

I am your tears upon the pillow
I am there with you when you’re feeling low
The fresh spring breeze whispers my name
I am the flickering romance of a candle flame

Feel my touch from the sun’s warm light
I am in the joy of a bird’s first flight
I am the beat of two hearts entwined
I am the sorrow of the widow left behind

Taste me when you bite into the fruit
I am the soft, delicate sound of a flute
Let me be all the comfort you require
I am the pain in a burning desire

I am the suffering when you feel all alone
I am the grief bowed over a grave’s headstone
I am the pleasure of love’s first kiss
I am the belief that God does exist

I am the player of every emotion
I am the stronghold of your devotion
I am the poet of the written word
I am the Voice of what cannot be heard

I understand completely as only another poet can comprehend. It doesn't make sense, sometimes even to ourselves until it is poetically expessed. Only then can it be magical.

I loved this. It is well written, and explains what is hard to say, from a fresh perspective. I admire you for describing it so beautifully.

Please write more like this...your talent is shining through, and your thoughts, written so honestly, are an inspiration. God, just loved it, thank you for sharing. Can't wait to read more.
