A Poem That Doesn’t Rhyme

Contributed by willow_tara72002 on Tuesday, 22nd June 2004 @ 07:04:32 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I push you away when you need me the most
I was never there like you were for me
I know I hurt you when I pushed you away

I watch you walk away from me each day
It makes me sad to know I cant help
That I’m not the friend you are to me

I Don’t know how to help you and it makes me sad
I pull away cause I don’t want to be sad

I’m not a good friend, the one you need
I don’t know how to help you
I don’t know how to be there for you
I don’t know how to love you
Not in that way
But every single day
I don’t know what to do

I don’t want you to die
I don’t want you to hurt
I want you to live and be happy
And find someone new
That will love you too
The way that I cant

Just know that I care and I’m so sorry
I cant love you the way you love me

Your friendship and love has meant a lot to me.
To know that you will always love me for me

I think about you everyday and how much I cant help you
And how much I wish your pain was gone,
And how much I wish you could just be happy.
