I would care for her like my own child.
I would hold her in my arms at night and tell her its going to be alright.
Why I care for her so
I do not know.
I look back into my past and see all the terrible things I've done. I try to push all those things away
and concentrate on what is happening today.
I cannot go anywhere without turning a corner and hope those footsteps are hers. I look into her eyes and realize that she could be mine.
