I have to go, I need to scream,
I close my eyes, I see, I dream.
My legs are moving, let them run,
But still I sit, runnings been done.
My pen flies for me, it overflows,
My legs get impatient while my brain glows.
My feet start tapping as I write and write,
I can't see anymore, nothing feels right.
This page is burning, red blood flame,
My hand won't/can/t stop, it's all the same.
Meaningless words pour out of my head,
"I hate you, I love you, I wish I were dead."
These strange little squiggles shout out how I feel,
I don't want to see them yet before them I kneel.
Glow from the paper shadows my face,
Emotions a time bomb; strong steel, soft lace.
My legs are dancing now, they need to go,
But my brain is numbing, it's ready to blow.
I HAVE to go now, not doing it no more,
I can't do ANYTHING so show me the door.
I'm waiting to leave, I HATE being me,
I'm not quite the person I wanted to be.
I'm standing up, stop me, I'll punch your face,
I'm reaching for the door and getting out of this place.
My legs are a blur as I reach for the sky,
You won't see me anymore, I'm gone, BYE!

so full of conflicting ideas and emotions. it keeps bouncing around, just like a real impatient mind would. It even makes me feel unpatient. Great stream of consciousness poem. |

Mjgrl said it well enough for me.
I'll add 'contradictory' and 'mashed' to the list.
Welcome to YPDC. |
