What’s that?
I hear you calling in the wind.
Yet I never listen to what you say,
(Back to my life) I’d rather turn away.
I know that I should love and accept you,
Sometimes it is just something that I cannot do.
Yes you love me more than any person I know,
I return the feelings; yet don’t always let it show.
You are my one true savior,
Which explains your displeasure with my behavior.
You gave me the greatest gift: your amazing grace,
When on that cross you took my rightful place.
I now understand the sacrifice that you made,
Yet I still let the thoughts of your love fade.
No-one can ever equal your sacrifice,
You were the only one willing to pay my price.
Thanks to you, I have a place to go when this life is through,
I may say it, but you made the sentence “I love you”.
Now I will never the true burden of sin,
You took the wrath, the day those nails were driven in.
Now all I can do is ask you to come into my hear,
I regret that these weren’t my feelings from the start.
