Growing up has been tough... especially for this child of fifteen...
She gotten laughed at more often than not... it seems...
From her classmates... because she doesn't have a lot of fanciful things...
No fancy clothes... no fine jewelry... 'cause she doesn't have a lot of money...
You see... her daddy died when she was only three...
And her mama has done everything she could...
Just to build them a home and to make ends meet...
She's cooked... she's cleaned... did every odd job in between...
To provide her daughter... the necessities...
But... a dream is just a wish... that the heart makes...
And her dream has been to dance with her Prince Charming... someday...
To dance... a slow dance with him...
Though... she knows in her heart of hearts... that it will never happen...
'Cause fairy tales are just wishes and dreams... that don't come true...
Especially... for her...
Oh... how tall and handsome a young man is he?
He makes her heart sway and melt...
Each time they meet...
Passing in the hallways or sitting next to each other in English class...
She's always dreamed... of dancing with him... at last...
Dancing that slow dance...
Cheek to cheek...
With their eyes closed... listening to the beat...
Whispering softly to their souls...
Taking them to a place... they've never been before...
But on this night...
The night of her first high school dance...
She feels almost like Cinderella...
But there's no fairy godmother's spell...
No fancy dress... no pumpkin carriage... and no glass slippers... to tell...
She's looking as beautiful... as she can...
But everyone just starts to laugh...
Except for one...
Her Prince Charming...
Who has come... to her aid and rescue...
Taking her into his arms...
Her dream has come true...
As they whirl and twirl... to the music of their hearts...
Listening to their own song... being played within...
Letting the real music begin...
Cinderella's dance...
A wish and dream come true...
As she and her Prince Charming are captured in...
The enchanting moment... of the mood...
Don't resist it... flow with it...
Become a part of the rhythm... of...
Cinderella's dance...
Danced just for me... for you...
