Learning what I'm making myself

Learning that I'm forgetting what I've learnt
Sacrifising myself to me for me
Not by tears, the blur I see
I never had the vision
Of what's in front of me
So I pull my heart from inside of me
My hatred for me and my misery
Rubbed together to end my glee
I sat in front of the fire created
It rose and rose, I waited and waited
I threw my heart in the fire alive
It shuddered and screamed
And I watched it strife
Then, alas, finally it died
And I immobilized
Dreamed about
The last time I cried
And slowly my soul flew high above
And took a glimpse back below
Saw the fire put off itself.
Learning that I'm forgetting what I've learnt
I, now, compare myself with the ashes burnt

Eek!! I went to your profile and saw the nasty "0" for comments on this poem. So I'm giving you a "1" instead. =D Really though, good work. I like the flow - its quite spiffy. |
