I See

Contributed by willow_tara72002 on Monday, 21st June 2004 @ 05:10:39 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I see what no one else can see
Because no one can see me
I see more than anyone realizes
Everybody just tantalize
I can see who they really are
I cant look from afar

And see the pain they hide,
Secrets open wide
With no one to confide
Rules they must abide
Feelings they held inside
Tears I knew they cried
Wishing they had died
Wondering why they tried.

I can see no one will say
The demons they keep at bay
Their heart that breaks away
Every single day
In every single way.

I see the pain
I see the shame
I see the blame
Its not all the same

I see their act
I know for a fact
Their hearts not intact

They are all the same
Most of them belive
They are the only one in pain
All the messages they send
Will put this poem to its end.

when you said "most of them believe they are the only one in pain" i think you hit the nail on the head. that is really true. and how people put on an act? oh yeah... also definitely true. i like that you wrote about this. good job.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
