Am i not good enough
To be daddy's little girl?
Am i not good enough
To be part of your world?
You were never around
You left when i was 5
I thought you left because of me
So every night i cried
You live so far away
Your happy with your "new family"
You forgot about us
Why did u have to leave?
I asked mommy every day
"where's daddy? "
"when's he coming home? "
"does he not love me?"
It seems like a hassle
To call once a few weeks
Or send me a card
Or take time out of your life to speak to me
Do you know what its like
to grow up without a dad?
Every fathers day
i wouldn't send you a card because i was so mad
I hope your reading this
And upset about what i write
But you cant make things right

very well done...I dont know how old you are, but this same thing happened to me. My dad left when I was 5 also, and he was also too buisy with his new family to even care about me. I did hate him for it. But now I'm 18 and have a child of my own, and I guess i learned how to just appreciate him as a father, even though he never was. It makes youa better person if you try to forgive..you'll never forget, but it will make it easier. I wish you lots of luck and love....hang in there. ~Eva~ |
