BREATHING FAST
The sky was blackened death, while I stood almost falling out of breath,
Slowly running at first then an explosive burst, muscles nearly snapping to the thoughts of spirits rapping.
Silken rustling I had herd this noise before, eyes this way and that trying to gnaw at, please stop, please I implore.
Stopping breathing fast and fearing, I stood motionless senses peering, sanity gone evil began to bore.
Then the stillness was broken, by a ghostly token, the only thing spoken was a swear word that coursed and tore.
Leaves nustled to the gentle hustle what had I instore, Or was it just an animal and nothing more. My nerves were streaming or was I dreaming as a veil hit the floor.
Senses returned I find I am in my room looking at my bedroom door, veil that was floating my bathrobe and nothing more. Rolling over new dreams implanted taking me away too far of places enchanted, to the gentle ripples of a snore.
