Perish

Contributed by AngelousBlack on Monday, 21st June 2004 @ 01:53:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

A young fragile soul
With no where to go
Watches her dear love
With wings of a dove
Her soul fading away
As he sees it go astray
He cries so soundly
He wishes the world to Perish
Cause he lost his dear love

" Please give her back to me.
So that we can be free."
His voice so bad
His eyes so sad
He wishes the world to Perish
" Dear love, please don`t cry."
He looks at her so dry
" I'll always be in the heart."
Her voice so sweet like candy

Her eyes to calm like the river
She is so beautiful like a flower
She wishes nothing more
Then for him to care
" Please come back to me."
But he still wishes the world to Perish
She fades away from him
But he does not wish her to go
" Angel!" He shouts

But she is fading away
" Farewell, sweet prince.
I'll always be in your heart."
But he still wishes the world to Perish.

It's a pretty sentiment, but I think the poem lost something when you forced all the lines to rhyme.
