I can hear the slurr as you say my name,
Nothing has changed for you in the past 5 years,
You thought I'd be content, waiting for you here,
I thought you would have realized all the past mistakes,
I understand now though, that you're completely fake,

Things are NOT the same,
You thought I would be here waiting for your call,
You thought I'd still be here to catch you when you fall,
You thought that I'd forget about the heartache and the tears,
You thought that I'd forget about the pain of all those years,
Please just understand what I'm trying to say,
I am not your girl now, so please just go away,
I have not forgotten about the beatings or the screams,
I have not forgotten about broken bones or broken dreams,
Don't you call me Angel,
I'm not the girl you knew,

This charade is through,
Go away now quietly, don't you make me yell,
I am not comiiting to another 4 years of hell,
Don't you get it, Josh, I don't want you here,
I don't want the pain, the heart ache or the tears,

I think I loved you well once, but that is distant past,
I am stronger than that now, and I am running fast,
Away from you and your pleading words,

Whoa Dusty...You've done it again. This was top class, amazing. You really have been through the wars and back with this guy. Good to see your all tough & forcefull & theres no way your letting the pain back in again. Great stuff, if this was just a copy the original must have been an "art of work". Excellent piece, im sure the site well appreciates your contribution.

Oh Dusty what a wonderful song......I'm so glad you are strong enough to tell him where he went wrong......and better yet........to run the other way! I'm so glad he can no longer possess you in every way!
