Looking In

Grief
|
Bleak and dreary night,
Representative of my life.
Clouds weeping slow and steady,
As I had done so often.
Fires providing warmth all round,
None for my cold, blackened heart.
Years of anguish searching,
Searching for a place to fit.
Never had I fit this mould,
Oh how many times I tried to fit.
Unsuccessful were my attempts.
Always looking in and seeing,
Seeing a completed puzzle.
No more shall I attempt to fit,
For that which does not fit never shall.
I do however have one last attempt,
One that shall not fail in my final quest.
They shall remember forever my name,
As it slowly chokes them with regret.
