The Circle

Contributed by Ethereal_Engine on Sunday, 20th June 2004 @ 11:04:21 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Through our instincts, our ignorance, our greed, our rage, our lack of thought, we destroy all others in our path. We wreck the planet that harbors us, we hurt those around us because they’re different then us, we trample each others hopes and dreams, we crush each others hearts and souls. Then we complain that we are unhappy and fear that we will no longer exist. And thus the circle perpetuates and feeds upon itself. Some of us understand the circle better then others, some of us don't care, some of us try to make a difference, some of us feed the circle, some of us preach to make a difference but in reality they end up feeding the circle as well, many want to stop the circle but cling to its comforts. We should all know the circle but we should all try to limit our exposure. We are ourselves, we are here because we are, we should be free. The circle makes us all sick, makes us all hate ourselves, makes us all hate others, makes us all hate our kind, makes us all hate what we have become and always were and always will be, makes us all forget what makes us us, makes us forget to stop and enjoy the moment. The circle should not be forgotten, it should not be ignored, it should not be, it also should not consume us, should not darken all that we do, should not destroy our lives. No hero will come to save us. The days of hero’s are over or never existed. Hero’s are nothing but fantasy. We can hope for hero’s all we want, but one will never come. Every progression into the future is a progression to the end of the world. Our existence is short, with what time we have, we should balance our existence. There are times when the circle moves faster and closer to us then we can bear. There are also times when the circle seems to move slowly and is no where to be seen. At times the circle may be hard to stop, but we have more power then what we know and the circle can be stopped. Once the circle is out of our minds we are free, we are happy, we can finally go with the flow. The circle is always there, but we must try to think of it only when times deem it unavoidable, we mustn’t let it get to us, we must be strong, we must think with our hearts and minds, we must balance the heavy with the light. Balance is key to all that there is, without balance, we feed the circle, even if we do not intend to. Sadness feeds on sadness, Hate feeds on hate, Happiness feeds on happiness, Bliss feeds on bliss. The past shapes the future, but we create the present and the present shapes the past. We are the sole creators of the circle and as all things feed upon themselves we must ever strive towards the light and always balance the heavy.
