Can't Let Go

Contributed by BuRnEd_ChiK on Sunday, 20th June 2004 @ 05:53:07 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

This is coming from my heart,
It’s been so long since we fell apart.
I’ve tried to work this out,
But some things never change.

Why did I hurt the relationship?

I remember those moments
That were cherished for so long.
Remember, you gave me my first kiss.

How did it end up like this?

Deep down I know this is best.
Even though my heart is broken,
I don’t think I could let this rest.
I’ve been waiting for your call.

What made you not talk to me at all?

Knowing that I made a mistake,
But this time it’s too late.
I know you got someone else.

Should I move on like you have?

I’ve met someone new and sweet.
He’s here with me and we’ve kissed,
But I hear Burn so many times.
Just know that every time you’re missed.

What happened to our friendship?

Somehow our thoughts have changed.
Our feelings have run away.
Now we barely speak.

What is else is there to say?

After all I’ve said about this,
I want to thank you for showing
Me that life is unfair.
But still I dare to see

Why is it her and not me?
