MISGUIDED - MANIPULATIVE - WARMONGERING

Contributed by steeleyes on Sunday, 20th June 2004 @ 12:11:14 PM in AEST
Topic: political

Always singing the same old fascist song
Arrogant, belligerent and deeply wrong
The forces of the right down all the years
Braying like donkeys to raise all our fears

These inept and dangerous women and men
Are leading us down a path straight to ruin
They've antagonised pretty much everyone now
Wherever they find harmony they create a row

After 9/11 the world could have moved as one
To eliminate all terror from under the sun
But, with an arrogant, illegal, belligerent stance
The US and UK ensured peace had no chance

With manipulation they ensured integrity was lost
Ignorant of the consequences, the unholy cost
Squandering the goodwill that covered the world
Bringing long-term darkness to each boy and girl

Now the prospect of eternal war faces us all
And causes ugly terrorists to seem to stand tall
When they should truly be ending their reign
Bush and Blair have ensured our FURTHER pain

By splitting the world with illegality and lies
They cause decent people only to despise
The warmongering few that live in the West
Instead of focussing all on the terrorism pest

Through division they made it much worse
And made us victims of a reckless course

Just look at this ever more dangerous world
if any doubts are lingering
It was brought to you by the inept, the misguided,
the manipulative and the warmongering

This is a strongly worded poem. It is often easy to be critical when we are not in the same position as our leaders. All anyone can do is pray for peace.

awesome man well spoken. More poetic than some of yours i've read, but still with the same strong message that we all know and love. Every day your words are proving to be more and more true. Thank you for being an inspiration to us all.
