Dad In A Million

Contributed by pixie on Sunday, 20th June 2004 @ 11:55:04 AM in AEST
Topic: FathersDayPoems

You are the world’s best Dad,
It is down to you all the love I’ve had,
You sat me on your knee when I was a little girl,
You protected me and gave me the world.

You didn’t leave everything up to my Mum,
You even helped to bath me & powder my bum,
Took me out to feed the ducks,
Taught me that life doesn’t always have to suck.

You mean the whole world to me,
You shown me love& set my heart free,
Cuddled me when I felt scared,
Shown me everything, shown me you cared.

My words are spoken straight from my heart,
I hope that you & I will never part,
There will always be a part of me in you,
You showed me the way & guided me through.

I have been truly blessed with all you are,
My Dad, my guardian angel, my shining star,
This poem is to say that you are a Dad in a million,
Wait, scratch that I mean one in a billion.

Pixie
And I thought I was NO.1 dad ; )
Your Father must be a special person as I am sure he is.
Nice poem !
You say a part of you is always in him and I say a part of him will always be in you.
The goodness he taught will always be a part of you.
