I Always Hurt The One I Love

Please take me away I need to fly,
So I can’t make my boyfriend cry,
With my words that hurt so bad,
I am the one who makes him feel sad.
The strange thing is I love him so,
But I still feel that I must go,
Then he wouldn’t feel this pain,
And he would be happy once again.
He is too good for the likes of me,
I need to die and set him free,
In the same breath I want to stay,
And be beside him every step of the way.
They say you hurt the one’s you love,
But I should regard his feelings above,
Anything else that’s in my world,
He doesn’t deserve the anger I hurl.
I hurl this hate when I have a drink,
I’m too selfish to stop and think,
That my words do cause real damage,
More than his beating heart can manage.
I need to stop and take a moment,
To realise he’s not my opponent,
But the man who gave me his heart,
A precious gift not to be ripped apart.
I need to drop this iron guard,
And stop this lashing out so hard,
Or I will lose this love I possess,
And no longer will I have him to caress.
There’s only so much a person can take,
If I continue his heart will soon break,
He can’t go on if he looses his will,
Although from afar he’ll love me still.
I need this man by my side,
We share everything, in each other confide,
Confide things we’ve never shared before,
But I am forcing him to close the door.
So Mark please hear my words loud and clear,
And know that I do hold you so dear,
To my heart and to my soul,
I don’t mean to push you out in the cold.
I can’t go on in this life alone,
Without your love to call my own,
I’m truly sorry for all that I’ve said,
If I’m not with you then I’m better off dead

Very well said and written. It does seem we hurt the ones we love but if they love you then they will stay.

It is said that no one can ever make you feel anything unless you let them. However I feel we do have an effect on those that let us in.

Girl,
They say mistakes that hurt ourselves (self-destructing of self mutalation) can be reflected from earlier in the day of certain injuries.
So I say this (in light of that.) Find a focal point, something good. When you start to get angry, start to get mad, or just start running your mouth. Think of your focal point, and remember this is you. No body can control you, only you. Mark isn't the reason you are mad. But I'm sure he won't mind helping you figure out why you feel so sad.
