I sat, looking at the sunset.
Colors in the sky, like the silence between two spirits.
Unwanted silence, and not needed. Not knowing if the other does,
But it knows it need to be one. The sun goes down, the colors might turn the same, or they might die, never being one, never being the same.
The next day with the rise of the sun, The colors separate again as they wake. It’s a new day, will the colors mix today? And be as one? Mix together and form something beautiful? Or will they go their own ways again?
And never be together. And never know what beautiful colors could have made. If they’d only been together. Even for a day, just to see, what beautiful colors if we’d have been together.

Gandhi says the problem with westerners is their lack of silence.

I like this. Very poetic. And I love the sort of silence that can exist between two people who understand each other. But the silence of untogetherness is a grief.

'what could have been' is a concept that facinates me,
this is what I took away from 'Beautiful'.
