ANGELS WALK WITH THEE

In earnest, I beseech the Almighty
To shield you from the ferocious talons
Of the Violence that hovers in wait,
Preying on the innocent and unsuspecting,
Swooping down to pluck our young in their prime,
And rending swaths of destruction and grief
Through the human spirit.
May the Great Creator of Heaven and Earth,
Who willed the very universe into existence,
Keep you in the hollow of his all-encompassing hand.
In this unforgiving realm,
Wherein the laws of physics and circumstance
Supersede the will of humanity
And violate our rights under natural law.
Where our cherished loved ones perish
When their fragile bodies
Simply become incompatible with life,
Despite being loved and needed,
And the wrongness of it all.
I plead the compassion of the Holy Spirit
To shelter your soul from reality's harsh climate.
I implore that bounteous River Of Love that is Jesus
To cascade over you,
Calming the fearful quavering of your heart,
Washing away all doubt and human infirmity.
May the Great One above, who foresees all,
See fit to stay the calamity at your left hand
And tempest at your right hand.
Surely God, in his divine grace,
Shall give his angels charge over you:
Cherubims to encircle the crown of your head,
Ministering words of comfort tenderly in your ear,
And archangels to cover you fast with their valiant wings
Against what tides of tribulation may come.
I pray our Lord be with you and keep you always,
My beloved,
Until the end of time,
Until our rapturous reunion in Heaven,
By the side of the Father,
Forever and ever...
Amen.

This is the most powerfull testimony of love. Very touching to the heart and soul. Very deep awesome prayer and the love behind it is definently the holy spirit.
A masterpeice born as the results of such tragedy.

dude you definitely are a poet. A very well written poem and I liked the whole religious aspect you inserted into the poem as well. Keep on posting your talent should be seen by all.
