She stars into your eyes
Through all the times shes tried
To keep it all inside
She cant
You said it wasnt true
But shes too sad
Too blue
And she could see right through you
She thought she knew you
How could you do it?
You blew it
She heard it yesterday
But not a piece did she play
She thought it wasnt true
Not her
Not you
"It cant be you!" she said
"No, youre not dead!"
But the more and more she thought
About all the drugs you sought
She knew
Through all the times before
You passed out on the floor
And stumbled to the door
She knew
And as you lay there silent
For all the world to see
And all the times you said
"Im clean."
Just ruined you and me

How sad... what a tragic way to end a life and a relationship... I think "I'm clean" is the most hurtful lie when it blows up...
Good poem though...

| That was very deep and I hate when you trust somebody and they lie to you, instead of telling the truth. Very filled with emotion and very deep. This poem is about choices and I give this poem 5 stars. |

wow, that was a very sad and emotional great write....I know many who can relate to this...its just a shame how peopel can ruin things by doing the one thing they know how...well Im sorry...Keep your head held high...
